Act Two Theatre presents Cat on a Hot Tin Roof

Cat on a Hot Tin Roof is a 1955 Pulitzer Prize winning play written by St. Louis' very own Tennessee Williams. It is not only one of the most well known works by Williams, but also his personal favorite. The setting is a plantation in the Mississippi Delta, home of wealthy cotton tycoon, Big Daddy Pollitt and his colorful family. The Pollitt family is not immune to drama, and that becomes evident as the story centers on Brick Pollitt and his wife, Maggie the "Cat."
