Notes From the Neighborhood

The competed at Lee's Summit West High School for the State Championship on Feb. 25.  The girls received first place in 3A Hip Hop and 3rd place in 3A Dance. 

With a combination of both scores, the St. Dominic Crusaderettes won second place in the overall in the state.

"The girls left everything on the floor that day and danced their hearts out for their school. The hip-hop dance was hands down the crowd favorite and complete strangers kept coming up to us telling us it was their favorite dance and that we were amazing," St. Dominic Crusaderettes Coach Staebell said in a news release. "As a coach, I could not be more proud of their accomplishments and that all their hard work and many hours of practice paid off. We definitely put SDHS on the map and I know we will now be a force to reckon with in future State competitions!"
