O’Fallon’s residential yard waste collection starts back up for the season on Monday, March 12.

Residents who do not have yard waste disposal are invited to sign up for the service. It costs $7.50 per month, or $15 per bi-monthly bill.

  • It is illegal to dump leaves and grass into city storm sewers and it also is illegal to discard yard waste in the trash.
  • To enroll in yard waste collection, contact the Environmental Services Department at ofallonrecycles@ofallon.mo.us or 636-272-0477.

Congratulations to Senior Ryan Gaffney

  • Gaffney will be honored for his achievements in science, technology and math at the annual STEM Recognition Breakfast Friday, March 9 in St. Peters.
  • This annual event is hosted by the Partners for Progress of Greater St. Charles, a civic group founded in 2001 to influence community progress so people, businesses and institutions flourish.
  • Award recipients were nominated by their high school. Ryan has received a full-ride scholarship from the Air Force ROTC and is waiting for appointment to either the United States Air Force Academy or the United States Naval Academy.

Fort Zumwalt Hope High Helps Raise Money For Humane Society

  • Hope High School's leadership class helped out at PetSmart’s National Adoption Day on Feb. 11to collect donations for the Heartland Humane Society of Missouri. 
  • Students made handcrafted dog bandannas designed to slip over a collar so they do not fall off. People who donated $5 received a dog bandanna. The class raised over $250 for the shelter.
