An O’Fallon man is accused of threatening his sister and firing shotgun blasts into the ground near her car Saturday.
O’Fallon Police said Kyle Gorman, 19, screamed at his sister that he was going to kill her and fired the gun into the ground in the 400 block of White Chapel. The two both live at the address.
Gorman was charged Monday with unlawful use of a weapon and third-degree domestic assault.
Police said Gorman also fired the shotgun in the house’s garage and asked his sister if she wanted to be shot.
Gorman told his sister, “I am ready to die tonight if necessary,” according to court documents.
Police said he also threw an open gasoline can onto the hood of her car, covering it with gas. After his sister drove away, he lit gasoline on the driveway, causing burn marks.
Gorman posted a $25,000 bond and was released from St. Charles County jail Monday.
