O'Fallon Daily Dose: Aug 9 Edition

Welcome to the O'Fallon Daily Dose, where each morning we'll keep you updated on what's going on around town and what's coming up on Patch. 

Weather 

• According to the  National Weather Service, Tuesday is expected to be mostly cloudy, gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 88.

Traffic 

• The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT)  will close one eastbound lane of  I-70 at the Blanchette Bridge from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• One lane in each direction of I-70 at Route Z will close from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• MoDOT will also close one to two lanes of I-70 in each direction from Route 94 to Mid Rivers Mall Drive from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. 

News to Use

• is offering a trip to historic Civil War sites around the St. Louis area on Sept. 14. Cost is $70 for O’Fallon residents and $78 for non-residents, and includes transportation, an escort, gratuities, lunch and tours. The deadline to sign up for the trip is Sunday, Aug. 14. For more information about the trip, contact Paula Creech at 636-474-8121 or pcreech@ofallon.mo.us.
