O’Fallon Hosts Blood Drive on Friday

Donors are welcome at the Municipal Center from noon to 4 p.m.

O’Fallon Volunteer Services is teaming up with the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center to host a blood drive at the on Friday afternoon.

Donors can give whole blood, donate platelets or make double red blood cell donations. The drive will run from noon to 4 p.m. in the multi-purpose room.

O’Fallon’s Manager of Volunteer Services Kathy Halstead said walk-ins are welcome, but appointments may minimize waiting time.

To make an appointment, interested donors can contact Volunteer Services at 636- 379-5507 or volunteer@ofallon.mo.us.

Volunteers must show a photo I.D. and are encouraged to eat a good meal four hours before donating. Volunteer Services will provide refreshments.

Volunteer Services hosts several blood drives in O’Fallon throughout the year. The city’s last drive was on National Day of Service and Remembrance on Sept. 11. They also sponsor the annual Heroes of Summer Blood Drive in July and another in September at the annual Open House event.
