A 16-year-old O'Fallon girl was injured in a car accident on eastbound Interstate 64 on April 19.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2009 Pontiac G8, driven by Thomas Pichler, 70, Wright City, and a 2009 Pontiac G8 driven by Lois Porter, 48, O'Fallon, slowed for traffic west of Highway 141 at 7:25 a.m.
The report states that Harry Pilkinton, 46, O'Fallon, failed to observe the slowing traffic and struck the rear of Pichler's car with his 2008 Ford F150. The force of the impact caused Pilcher's car to hit the rear of Porter's car.

A 16-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries and Monarch Ambulance transported her to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur.
