Several Memorial Day Ceremonies Planned in St. Charles County

Take an hour to honor members of the military who gave their lives in service.

O'Fallon

The Memorial Day Ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Monday at O'Fallon Veterans Memorial Walk, 800 Belleau Creek Road, in O’Fallon, MO. The ceremony will honor U.S. military members and feature Lt. Col. Alan Rohlfing as the keynote speaker. Sam Horstmeier, a sophomore at Fort Zumwalt South High School, will read an essay on Memorial Day.

St. Charles

St. Charles Veterans Commission will host a  at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Charles Veterans' Memorial at Bishop's Landing. The St. Charles Municipal Band will play, and a roll call of departed veterans will be followed by a wreath laying and rifle salute. 

St. Charles Memorial Gardens will host a Veterans' Memorial Program at 2 p.m. Sunday at 3950 West Clay Street. Veterans' names will be read aloud and St. Charles County veterans organizations will participate.

St. Peters

St. Peters will host a memorial day ceremony at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Peters City Veterans Memorial at St. Peters City Centre Park, 1 St. Peters Centre Blvd. at Mexico Road. Featured speakers include Lt. Col. Ronald Neubauer, a Vietnam Veteran. 

Lake Saint Louis

Remember military members who died for freedom at the Memorial Day Ceremony Monday at 11 a.m. at Veteran's Park in Lake Saint Louis. Colonel Sean Fagan, Commander of the North Central Region of the U.S. Air Force and Civil Air Patrol, will be our guest speaker.  The Choral Arts Singers and Choral Arts Youth, directed by Barry Luedloff, will sing throughout the ceremony. 

At 2 p.m., a parade of boats will be blessed for a safe boating season. Watch from Windjammer Pointe or line up with your boat at Rue Grand Marina at 2 p.m.

Wentzville

The American Legion and Auxiliary will host a tribute for veterans at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the American Legion Post, 504 Luetkenhaus Blvd.
