From Highway 40: Take Highway K North. Turn right on Winding Woods Drive and turn into the parking lot for Mercy Winding Woods building. (One intersection north of Laura Hills Drive by the Target store.) The address is 300 Winding Woods Rd. Use main entrance into the building. Take elevator to the 2nd floor. Turn right off the elevators and follow hallway around to the Community Classrooom #212.

Course Description:
First-time parents will gain knowledge and confidence about the labor and birth experience and care of their baby. This course will cover how to know if you are in labor, natural comfort measures including massage, relaxation, breathing awareness and labor positions. Learn about epidural anesthesia, medical interventions, labor induction, cesarean birth, and postpartum recovery. A tour of the Childbirth Center and anesthesia information is included. Newborn care topics include practice time diapering, bathing and swaddling a life-size baby doll, circumcision, sleep patterns and baby safety tips. Breastfeeding successfully, infant formula preparation and introducing solids will be presented. We recommend completing this class 6-8 weeks before your due date. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring two pillows and a blanket to class with you.
