15 FBCA Students Place in Math Olympics

Students from First Baptist Christian Academy took home 15 ribbons in this year's ACSI Math Olympics ... all without an 8th grade class!

Students from First Baptist Christian Academy (FBCA) took home 15 ribbons in this year’s ACSI Math Olympics – 25% of the available 60 ribbons – including four of the twelve 1st place ribbons.  Another 12 FBCA students earned an Honorable Mention.

The ACSI Math Olympics – where students compete in math events involving computation and reasoning – is open to 3rd-8th grade students.  FBCA’s haul is quite an accomplishment considering they don’t yet have an 8th grade class!  FBCA’s expansion into Middle School will be complete this fall as they finally open their 8th grade.  Enrollment is now open for preschool through 8th grade.

These are the results for FBCA students:
3rd Grade Computation: Jacob Larson – 2nd place

First Baptist Christian Academy began as a kindergarten for the St. Charles County community in 1964. The vision of an elementary school took shape in the 1990’s and by the year 2000, preschool through 6th grade was available. After opening its doors nearly 50 years ago, FBCA has completed its expansion and now offers a Middle School program. Enrollment is now open for preschool through 8th Grade for the 2013/2014 school year.

First Baptist Christian Academy offers an affordable program to more than 200 students. The program is well-rounded, offering advanced academics as well as band, art, drama and much more. Certified teachers are able to cater to students in small class sizes of 20 or less. And students typically score in the top 20% nationwide.

Enrollment is now open. Visit FBCAcademy.org, or call the school office at (636) 272-3220 for more information or for a tour of the campus.
