Zonta Yellow Rose Award Celebration
The Zonta Club of St. Charles announced that the keynote speaker for the 2011 Yellow Rose Award celebration will be Stacy Malkan, co-founder of the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics and author of the award-winning book, “Not Just a Pretty Face: The Ugly Side of the Beauty Industry.” www.SafeCosmetics.org
“Stacy is nationally known for her remarkable work to create awareness about the toxic chemicals in personal care products. She has worked tirelessly at the national forefront to inform legislators, and the public, about the dangers posed to women and children. We are so delighted to announce Stacy as our Keynote Speaker,” said Gladys M. Schubach, 2011 Event Co-Chair. Ms. Malkan’s organization, the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics is part of the Breast Cancer Fund in San Francisco.
