Little White Church

I'm 47 and comfortably retired.  My wife is 46 and she will retire at the end of this school year.  We were both teachers and loved every minute of it.

Now that I've got absolutely nothing to do, a dream has popped into my head.  I would like to purchase a small patch of land in O'Fallon and build a little white church.  I would want it to be simple with solid, wooden pews.

Any donations given by the congregants would go to pay the utilities and then everything that is left over, would be used to take care of those in need.  

Every Sunday after the service we would have an old-fashioned lunch out back on picnic tables as everyone would be considered family.  Everyone in the community would be invited too, even if they didn't attend the Sunday service.

Does it remind you of Mayberry?  Maybe that's just what we need in this day and age.
