2nd Annual Peach Festival Being Held at Rick's Roadside Market

The second annual peach festival in St. Charles County brings a variety of Missouri and Illinois peaches to market while inviting local families to enjoy a good old fashioned fun filled day.  The event opens with live music, delicious food choices, peach beer, margaritas, wines, vendors, games for the kids, peach eating contest, potato sack races, live animals and a special presentation by Missouri Ballet Theatre.  The event is FREE.

Music will be presented by Destination Z and Identity Crisis.

Missouri has a huge peach harvest and Rick's Roadside is excited about bringing them to market.  Peaches have long been revered.  The ancient Chinese referred to the peach as "the fruit of the emperors" and during the reign of Queen Victoria the peach had to be served in a fancy cloth napkin.  Missouri is one of six states that grow peaches commercially.  It only seemed reasonable to celebrate!
