Pamper Your Palate at The 1st International Food Festival

PAMPER YOUR PALATE AT THE 1ST ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL FOOD FESTIVAL TRANSFORMING RICKS ROADSIDE MARKET INTO A WORLD OF CUISINES, MUSIC, ART AND DANCE From tacos and tequila to grilling and grapes, spoil yourself with the sights, sounds and the laid-back flavor only the quaint city of Cottleville can offer. The International Food Festival event features diverse and celebrated food, beer, wine, music, art and dance. The unique schedule of events includes a fabulous opening performance by Vivant Entertainment featuring trapeze artist and ribbon aerialists turning ordinary into extraordinary! A wide array of food vendors will offer festival goers a smorgasbord of menus to choose from for lunch and/or dinner. Types of food include Greek, Mexican, Italian, Indian, Irish, Japanese and American cuisine, just to name a few. The sounds of salsa, merengue, tango and bachata dominate when the Latin band takes the stage opening night. Local artist, Jennifer Hayes, will create a bright-colored painting of the festival as it evolves and will sell the painting at the end of the event. She specializes in creating live-artwork for parties, openings, and events in the St. Louis area and beyond. Molly M. Collier of Studio M Boutique is a St. Louis-based artist with a passion for fashion, who is making a name for herself one stiletto at a time. Collier takes women’s shoe pumps and wedges to the next level by hand-painting and detailing them; thus creating a custom look that is unique to each client. Some of her clients include Lzzy Hale - Halestorm's lead singer, Melissa Gorga - The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Cynthia Bailey - The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Luichiny Fashion Footwear and Vogue Footwear. Collier will paint two pairs of shoes for sale with each pair to benefit the Lauren Murphy Recovery Fund and High Heels, High Hopes respectively. Saturday begins with family day. Enjoy the petting zoo, child play area, gypsy caravan of vendors, international wine and beer gardens live music, strolling guitarist and saxophone extraordinaire. Barrie Lynn, the cheese impresario and cheese columnist for The Beverly Hills Times writing the monthly “Cheese Matters” column that covers all things cheesy will increase knowledge and pleasure of artisanal cheese and wine pairing. Lynn is currently presenting her Artisanal Cheese and Wine Pairing Adventure Seminar for the 8th year at LA WineFest. Arabian Night themed VIP event will begin at 7:00pm featuring belly dancers, musicians, cigars and henna. The event will benefit the Lauren Murphy Recovery Fund. Lauren is local girl that suffered a traumatic brain injury. An additional portion of the proceeds will be donated to assist in the building of a new amphitheater for the City of Cottleville. The small stage will feature cooking demonstrations by local chefs. Spice it up with a visit to our international spice market. Taste the flavors of the world and finish it off with some delectable desserts. Limited space is available for unique vendors.
