Election Day: Let Freedom Ring

An Invitation to be a positive face to the politics of today and the future for our heritage to emulate and embrace by place a vote on the 3rd of April 2012!

Tuesday is an important date in the lives of the citizens of Saint Charles County - it is Election Day.

From sea to shining sea, we are some of the freest citizens of the world! Ours was a privilege given to us by our founding fathers, by those who fought for our freedoms in the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, World War I, World War II, the Korean Conflict, Vietnam, Grenada, Desert Storm, Afghanistan and numerous operations that supported freedom around the world.

Our freedom brought down the Iron Curtain. Yet some of us take this privilege as granted to us to the point of a boring event that can come and go without our participation. No matter what you think of the national, state or local governance being shown to us today by a more than somewhat biased media, please make every effort to vote on Tuesday the 3rd of April!

Our school children deserve your support - your vote will echo that with elections for Saint Charles Community College Trustees, with elections for Fort Zumwalt School Board and elections for Francis Howell School District.

Our dedicated firefighters of the O'Fallon Fire District and the Cottleville Fire District deserve your participation in voting for the future leaders of these two outstanding organizations! Yes, Let Freedom Ring, and let it ring load and clear throughout Saint Charles County!

The future of our country is bright if you observe the efforts of the young folks of our community. Here in O'Fallon, the Mayor's Youth Advisory Council is extremely active under the mentoring of Mayor Bill Hennessy and Councilman John Haman. They and others like them are watching to see what type of nation, what type of state, what type of county and what type of city we leave them as we depart this earth for that of another promised land.

Let us hand over to them something of quality, something of integrity, something of value and yes, Let Freedom Ring!
