Transitions

Reflections on Transition

I have been absent from Patch for a couple of reasons, one was vacation - ah vacations are wonderful, especially with two sons, their wives and my only grandchild! Second, I've been busy in thought and work. My thoughts today are about transition. The lives that were lost in Aurora, CO. The expected birth of new grandchildren - I have a granddaughter on the way! The continued experience of death for a friend of mine who is the 11th of 17 children - he just lost his brother to a valiant battle with cancer. Unwarranted but not unexpected loss of life in regions of war by our military. Lives slipping away as folks enter latter stages of cancer and other diseases such as Parkinson and Alzheimer. Would that we all take but one brief moment in life - for all moments turn historic the moment they pass our way - and just think of all the great folks that have come into and left our life! God always takes care of those on their journey to Heaven, God always holds those remaining on earth in the palm of His hands and we all have memories that far outweigh the sadness we feel as those we love transition. Just some thoughts as we move through this life daily in an ever increasing pace - we all transition, one moment at a time!
