Book a horse-drawn carriage, Segway or City train ride through O’Fallon’s Celebration of Lights

Make plans to celebrate the holidays in memorable style riding through O’Fallon’s Celebration of Lights in Fort Zumwalt Park on a Segway, horse-drawn carriage or wagon, or aboard the City Train. The event opens for the season on Friday, November 29, from 6 – 10 p.m. , continuing nightly through Monday, December 30 (closed on Christmas, December 25). Specialty rides will be available by reservation, only, in December.

  • Cruise along on a Segway! Suitable for ages 12 and up, Segway rides are available on Monday nights at a cost of $30 each. Training will be provided beforehand, and then riders will follow Santa on a Segway through the park. Photos will be available, too. Call Glide St. Louis at 314-868-7386. www.glidestlouistours.com/holiday2013.php

  • All aboard the O’Fallon City Train! Available on Mondays by reservation, tickets are $7 per person for ages 12 and up, $5 for ages 1-11, and free for infants 0 – 11 months. Rides leave every half hour. For reservations email mseymour@ofallon.mo.us  or call 636-379-5502.

“These popular rides offer a great way to have fun with your family and out-of-town guests over the holidays,” said Marsha Seymour, Manager of O’Fallon’s Office of Tourism and Festivals. “As a bonus, specialty rides provide an unobstructed, 360-degree view of the sights.”
