The event will be held on January 25 – 27 in O’Fallon Sports Park, with festival hours of 4 - 8 p.m. on Friday, noon - 8 p.m. on Saturday, and 1- 5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission and parking are free.

Event highlights include ice skating on O’Fallon’s first outdoor rink (skate rental will be available), Saturday’s Human Dogsled Race, broomball, the Snowshoe Obstacle Course, Fruit Cake Chuckin,’ ice carving, and a fire performer. Festival food and beverages and winter-festival merchandise will available for purchase.

“We think people will get a lot of enjoyment out of watching the ice amazing carving demonstration, and they won’t be able to keep from laughing at some of the zanier activities like Fruit Cake Chuckin’ and the Human Dogsled Race,” said Marsha Seymour, Manager of O’Fallon’s Tourism and Festivals Department. “Residents are invited to bring leftover fruit cake and launch it into the woods. The Human Dogsled Race will be fun to watch and even more fun to participate in, and you don’t have to have any experience to enter your team of six people. Our open broomball games will be played on a field with a ball, so anyone can join in. And for the first time in O’Fallon, people will be able to go ice skating on an outdoor rink. And you don’t want to miss the hot chocolate, s’mores and other festival fare.”
