Enter O’Fallon’s patriotic Heritage & Freedom Fest Parade for fun and prizes

Be a part of O'Fallon's Heritage & Freedom Fest parade on the Fourth of July!

The City of O’Fallon invites community organizations to enter O’Fallon’s Heritage & Freedom Fest Parade, which will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 4, in downtown O’Fallon.

“Families love to express their patriotism and cheer as the parade passes by,” said Marsha Seymour, Manager of Tourism and Festivals. “Our parade theme this year is ‘Made in America,’ and we invite civic organizations, veterans, bands, churches, scouts, businesses and others to create an entry and join the competition for trophies and prizes.”

Prizes of $200 for first place and $100 for second place will be presented for the “Best Musical Float” and “Most Patriotic Float.” Trophies will be awarded for “Best Color Guard.” First, second and third-place for the “Best Overall” category will win prizes of $500, $400 and $300. The “Mayor’s Choice” also will be awarded. Entries will be judged on how well the parade theme is expressed and receive extra points for incorporating music and mechanical movement.
