New! See O’Fallon’s Celebration of Lights by Segway

For one night only - Monday, December 17 - patrons with reservations will be able to glide through O'Fallon's Celebration of Lights in Fort Zumwalt Park on a Segway.

For one night only, patrons will be able to glide through O’Fallon, Missouri’s Celebration of Lights on Segway personal transporters.

Starting at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, December 17, patrons with reservations will be able to glide along and see a magical mile of illuminated forest and holiday scenes in Fort Zumwalt Park “up close and personal” and from 360 degrees on a Segway. No cars will be allowed in the park that night.

Small groups on holiday-decorated Segways will be led through the Celebration of Lights by Santa. Segways are suitable for ages 16 and up. One-on-one training and safety helmets will be provided beforehand, and complimentary hot chocolate will be served after the tour. Photos will be taken of each team and emailed by request, free.

“People love to ride Segways, which are self-balancing and easy to operate,” said Marsha Seymour, Manager of Tourism and Festivals. “The Segways will be decorated with lighted wreaths, and the safety helmets will be decorated with reindeer antlers.  With our sleigh-hayrides sold out and train rides booked up for the season, Segways offer another really neat way to see the park at its prettiest.”
