Weather Advisory: No parking on O’Fallon streets when snow is predicted

To help snow crews clear streets safely and efficiently, no street parking is allowed in the City of O'Fallon MO when snow is predicted.

Due to expected winter weather this weekend, O’Fallon residents are reminded that by City Ordinance, no vehicle may be parked on any O’Fallon street. Cars that are not moved may be ticketed or possibly towed. This parking restriction allows snow removal crews to work safely and efficiently to clear O’Fallon’s roads as quickly as possible. Parked vehicles can slow snow/ice removal and create situations that impede street clearing operations, depriving residents and the traveling public of safe and efficient travel. Similarly, emergency response will be affected.

This restriction will go into effect at 6 p.m. on Saturday (March 23) – or when precipitation begins falling in the City – and remain in effect until an announcement is made by the City and posted on the City’s website, www.ofallon.mo.us.

Anytime winter weather affects the area, City crews will be working day and night in 12 hour shifts to clear the roads until the job is done. O'Fallon's snow crews clear more than 700 lane miles of roads and 1,100 cul-de-sacs, passing nearly 24,000 homes along the way. As always, we appreciate the cooperation of our residents in getting O'Fallon's roads clear and safe as quickly and safely as possible. It really takes the cooperation of residents to make this process go smoothly, and we can't thank you enough for your cooperation in this process! Residents and business owners can help by keeping the roads clear of parked vehicles and ensuring that additional snow is not put out onto the streets.
