Well Hungarians will launch a summer of free O’Fallon Jammin’ Outdoor Concerts

Known for getting patrons out of their seats and onto the dance floor, the Well Hungarians will play their high-octane brand of original and contemporary country music at the first O’Fallon Jammin’ concert of the season on Tuesday, June 4, from 6:30 – 9 p.m.

“American Idol” contestant Ethan Jones will be performing with the band, which is known for rich harmonizing reminiscent of the Eagles, Alabama, Restless Heart, and Crosby, Stills & Nash. The Well Hungarians have toured extensively and opened for a long list of country music and rock ‘n roll legends. Their repertoire includes original music and covers from the 1970s to the present, including hits by the Charlie Daniels Band, the Zak Brown Band, Bad Company and Lynyrd Skynyrd. The Well Hungarians also charted four consecutive singles from their albums on the American Eagle Recording label: “Sorry ‘Bout the Mess” and “Diamonds and Love.”

The City of O’Fallon’s Jammin’ Outdoor Concerts are scheduled for 6:30 – 9 p.m. on Tuesday evenings through August 20, except for July 2. Admission and parking are free and lawn seating is available around the Civic Park bandstand. A playground, walking path and restrooms are located nearby, with snacks and beverages available from vendors. Coolers and backpacks are welcome but they are subject to inspection by O’Fallon police officers, park rangers and Parks and Recreation staff. For safety’s sake, no glass containers are allowed in the park. Jammin’ is sponsored by the O’Fallon Parks and Recreation Department with support from local businesses. Directions to Civic Park – On I-70, take Exit 217 at highways K and M (Main Street). Drive north approximately one-half mile on Main Street and get into the left lane. After crossing the railroad tracks make an immediate left (west) onto Civic Park Drive. The park is on the right about three blocks down.
