Free SmashZone kids’ tennis at O’Fallon’s Heritage & Freedom Fest

Another free activity is scheduled to set up court at O’Fallon’s Heritage & Freedom Fest on July 3 and 4: the United States Tennis Association (USTA) SmashZone Mobile Tour.  Aimed at the 10-and under set with junior-sized tennis courts and equipment designed to enhance the learning curve for young players,  SmashZone offers extra fun with digital activities, a “photo op” with online retrieval, and a Nintendo Room with “Mario Tennis Open” on the Nintendo 3DS.

“Kids really get a kick out of playing on these courts, so we are thrilled to have this exciting, free addition to our festival,” said Marsha Seymour, O’Fallon’s Tourism and Festivals Manager.

SmashZone will be located on the festival grounds near the side shows, and it will be open on Wednesday, July 3 from 5-10 p.m., and Thursday, July 4, from 1-9 p.m. Maps showing festival areas and general activities will be available at the entrance.
