US Air Force Band “Airlifter Brass” will perform at O’Fallon’s POW/MIA ceremony

The O’Fallon Veterans Commission will hold a POW/MIA Remembrance Day Ceremony at 7 p.m. on Friday, September 20, at O’Fallon Veterans Memorial Walk, 800 Belleau Creek Road, O’Fallon, Missouri 63366. The public is invited to join in the annual event, which is held on behalf of men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces who remain missing in action or imprisoned on foreign soil.

The USAF Band of Mid-America “Airlifter Brass” will perform for the event, which includes a speaker, the posting of colors, lighting of candles, laying of the wreath, a rifle salute and taps. For more information, call Conan Stott at 636-379-5550, or email cstott@ofallon.mo.us.

Directions: On I-70, take Exit 219 at T.R. Hughes Boulevard and Belleau Creek Road. Turn south. The memorial is just off the overpass at the junction of Belleau Creek Road and Veterans Memorial Parkway. Parking is available.
