Congress

Has anyone out there noticed anything about Congress? 

Congress, since Obama's Election, has passed no budget to deal with any kind of fiscal responsibility.

Congress, since Obama's Election, has focused on nothing but the next crisis.

Congress, since Obama's Election, has found nothing but scandal after scandal.

Is this the Congress we elected or are they finding an excuse not to deal with the paperwork by generating more paperwork?

Remember when Congress actually passed a budget?  This was something like 7 years ago.  We still have not had a budget but rather nothing but spending bill after spending bill that does nothing to balance what we, as a country, take in with what we spend.  Are you, as the tax payer, any better off now than 7 years ago?  Do we have more Jobs? Has your income level gone up?  If you can answer yes to any of these questions I would be surprised.

I would also like to point out that according to the Constitution there is no reason to pay members of Congress anything.  Yet Congress has passed bill after bill to increase their pay from the Federal Government while supposedly remaining eligible for Social Security.   They also get retirement benifits that amount to remaining in office for life.  According to CBO a retired member of Congress gets the same pay as a full member of Congress to include free Medical, dental, and staff for the rest of his/her life.  Yet they don't have to run for office ever again.  Who wouldn't like that for a retirement package.
