Fashion or When is Casual too Casual?

Note this is not for actual historical accuracy just generalization of many years.

Historically people dressed up to go to places like work and church.  Often times they would dress to go visit someone or just to go to the hospital, cemetery, or to travel somewhere else, America, Germany, Russia, China, England, France, etc.  The crime rate as reported was fairly low for the times.  Yes there was unemployment, street gangs, and drug dealers etc.  I won't hide from those facts.  They were there and contributing to the crime rate.  What has changed then?

Today we have unemployment, street gangs, drug dealers, etc... Yet crime still is climbing.  What has changed is fashion.  When I see guys and gals dressed as if they are going out into the woods for a weekend, going to church at that, then it makes me wonder if maybe the clothing is causing the problem.  If a guy sees a woman's bust line, with little or nothing to hide it, then he becomes attracted to that bust line.  Not the person behind it but only the bust line.  Studies have been done but I say it reminds us of the time when we were babies and we want momma to feed us.  Yes I am a guy and yes visible bust lines do cause my eyes to travel in that direction.  However I am willing to admit it and I do my best to look the young, old, middle aged, lady in the eye.

When the guys, and this is from the ladies I know, wear tight shirts that show the abs and pecks off they get excited to see them.  Again studies have been made etc... however the ladies think this is due to their primitive nature coming out.  Say what? In ancient times, before fire, if a man was fit then he must be strong and he must be mine.  Thought the woman of the time.  This is the part they are talking about.  Not anything else, although the sex might be part of it... but I digress while looking at those historical romance novels for sale at the book store.  A sculpted body means strength and strength means safety and safety produces children. End of Angst.

So back to my original subject when is Casual too Casual?  When work does not get done due to interruptions.  You are too casual.  When men loose their mental focus...............ahhhllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll  you ladies are too casual.  When walking down the street requires a police escort of the same gender, you are too casual.  Unless you like getting assaulted sexually and physically then keep on trucking.

I personally think we should all start to dress up to go places and leave the play clothing at home and for such places as support that kind of dress.  I.E. camping, hunting, fishing. beaches, fashion runways, etc...  Dress professionally get treated professionally.  Dress casually and pay the price, either physically, fiscally, or both.  Movie stars and Professional singers get paid to look like everyone's dream whatever.  However if you are not in that profession then dress like you mean business.  Cover it up, dress Professional or at least wear some kind of uniform and you will often times get picked for that, raise, promotion, new field position, etc... everyone else will be mad at you but you just went above that kind of nonsense.
