Coffee

Is coffee bad for you?  That will depend on who you are talking to and what they really think about the subject.  A very short history lesson is going to happen here.

Coffee got started back in biblical times.  Basically it was goats who found the plant growing, on the side of a mountain in Africa, and ate the beans.  The goat herder noticed that the goats got all kinds of energy from the beans and tried some.  It had the same effect on him that it did on the goats.  However the beans were green.  He tried a variety of methods and finally got the beans dried and ground and in a cup of hot water.  Coffee was born.

Today people the world over make coffee from a variety of beans from a variety of locations.  There are groups of people who study the effects of caffeine on the human body.  Great all for it but they forget what coffee is in the basic form.  Coffee is first and foremost a soup.  Say what????

Coffee in the basic form is boiled water and beans.  Bean soup anyone?  What makes coffee different from Campbels is that Campbels has vegetables and meat to make it healthy.  Coffee has beans and water.  The beans do not get eaten nor do they make into the broth.  The broth gets drunk and you get a boost of energy.  After that you go to the bathroom and get rid of the excess liquid that is floating in your system. No meat or veggies to clog up the system in coffee.

Since I drink around 8 or so pots a day I do know a little bit about coffee.  Now if it could just be a little bit stronger...
