Default

In a few days the GOP led Congress of the United States of America will default on it's loans.  So what will happen to the average American if this is allowed to happen?

1. If you have a fixed rate mortgage nothing will change.  If you have a variable rate mortgage then your rates will increase over the course of a single payment.
2. Electricity will be fixed for this quarter but they will find a way to increase the rates for home customers.
3. Gas prices will continue to climb until nobody can afford the fuel for their vehicles.
4. Healthcare costs will suddenly double.
5. Those on fixed incomes like Social Security and VA benefits will not see a paycheck for months at a time.
6.  The military will be abandoned in place.  That is to say getting home will be the soldier's responsibility otherwise he/she stays where they are at.
7. The U.S. Economy will crash in a method similar to the Stock Market Crash of the 1920's.
8. Big Business will take over what is left of the country and do their own profit thing to the detriment of the people.

If you don't care for the above view then write to your Representative and tell them what you think.  If you don't think it will effect you then do nothing and let the GOP kill the United States.

Yes the Republican Party is to blame for this problem as they refuse to do anything that will cost them their seat in Congress.  Yes they are a minority in the Senate but they have a Majority in the House.  Yes by doing nothing they have caused this situation to develop and fester until this has become a National Crisis.  Afterall is said and done the Republican Party is run by crisis after crisis either natural or manufactured.  This does not make for good governing methods and it causes governments to collapse.

Enjoy your life.
