FBI Continues Search For 'Bucket List Bandit' With Billboards Along I-70

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is still searching for who allegedly robbed at least nine banks in the western and southern United States since June.

According to the FBI, , at 4251 Highway K in O'Fallon, was his latest target on Aug. 30.

O'Fallon Police responded to a call at the bank last week at 12:59 p.m. Police reported the suspect told the teller he had a gun and left with an undisclosed amount of cash, but no one was injured.

St. Louis FBI Public Affairs Specialist Rebecca Wu said the robber got his name because during an earlier robbery, he allegedly told a teller he had four months to live.

According to the FBI, during each robbery linked to the "Bucket List Bandit," a man enters the bank alone, approaches the teller and presents a demand note.

The suspect is described as a white male, in his 50s, 5’10”, 180 lbs, mustache, balding and wearing glasses.

He has also been known to carry a black, zippered portfolio and is normally seen wearing jeans and a blue polo shirt or blue T-shirt. 

According to the FBI, the suspect was seen driving a black compact SUV, possibly a Chevrolet Captiva or similar model, with a silver rack on the roof at several of the robberies.

The FBI is featuring photos of the “Bucket List Bandit” on digital billboards across the country, including two panels along Interstate 70 near Lambert St. Louis International Airport. 

"The picture is clear enough, so whoever knows him, can identify him," Wu said.
