Drunk Mom Chokes, Bangs Daughter's Head on Floor, Police Say

Denise Myers, of St. Charles County near O'Fallon, was charged with third-degree domestic assault after police say she threw her daughter to the floor at their home and began choking her and hitting her head against the floor.

A St. Charles County woman is accused of choking her daughter and banging her head against the floor on Friday.

Denise Myers, 42, of the first block of Cottonwood Drive in St. Charles County near O’Fallon, was charged Monday with third-degree domestic assault.

A St. Charles County Sheriff’s deputy said Myers threw her 17-year-old daughter to the floor at their home, choked her and banged her head against the floor. The deputy said the daughter had red marks on her neck and a bump on her head.

Myers’ son confirmed to police that she had choked her daughter on the floor at the home, according to a court document.

The deputy reported that Myers “was extremely intoxicated and uncooperative” when he responded to the house.

Myers is being held by St. Charles County Corrections. Bail was set at $10,000, cash only.
