I wonder if it has anything to do with those flashing yellow arrows. Some people don't understand them. I for one feel that they are very dangerous.

Hold on, let me look out my window at the intersections.....

B Hillard, I totally agree. What is the deal with those lights? I have never seen them anywhere else but in O'Fallon. They are totally confusing to me and I have been driving for over 30 years.

Whose bright idea was it to install those flashing yellow arrows? There was nothing wrong with the way it has always been done.

Excellent points on the yellow arrows. I know what they mean now, but when I first saw them, I was very confused. I wonder if any other cities use them?
Simon March 8, 2013 at 06:18 pm
Other cities in St. Louis County have been using them for years. St. Peters uses them as well. Traffic did not run smoothly before as it helps with traffic congestion. Engineers, much smarter than most of use, conduct traffic surveys on areas to see if these type of remedies would help with traffic congestion. I personally love them. It truly is common sense and if they are that confusing then you probably shouldn't be driving. It is basically like having a solid green light...it is a yield to oncoming traffic.

Simon must be the engineer who is much smarter them most of USE!

She's on vacation at the moment. When she returns she'll still be here, but in a different role.Read More Instead of just working with O'Fallon, she'll be working with multiple Patch sites across St. Louis. While she's doing other things, Tammy Duncan and I will be posting often around here. Basically Jordan is still very much involved, but she just won't be writing as many stories.
