O'Fallon Man Indicted on Assault, Weapon Charges

Police said man pointed a pocket knife at another man, tried to kick police officer.

An O’Fallon man was indicted Friday by a St. Charles County grand jury for unlawful use of a weapon, third-degree assault and assaulting a law enforcement officer.

Keith Greer, 31, of the 8000 block of Knights Crossing in O’Fallon, was charged in October with the crimes.

O’Fallon Police said Greer pulled out a pocket knife and pointed it at the chest of another man July 21 in the 4200 block of Keaton Crossing Boulevard in O'Fallon. When police arrived and attempted to take him into custody, Greer kicked at an officer, according to court documents.

Greer is being held at the Western Reception Diagnostic and Correctional Center in Bonne Terre.
