O'Fallon Man's Murder Trial Set For July
Michael Lee Rone, 43, is charged with first-degree murder in the killing of his wife, Stacy Rone last year.
A jury trial has been set for an O’Fallon man accused of murdering his wife last year.
Michael Lee Rone, 43, of O’Fallon, is scheduled to face trial for first-degree murder at 1:30 p.m. July 16 in St. Charles County Circuit Court.
O’Fallon Police said Stacy Rone’s relatives found her at the couple’s home in the 1100 block of St. Matthew Avenue, and a medical examiner determined the cause of death was strangulation.

O’Fallon Police said investigators determined Michael Rone was the last person to be with Stacy before her body was found. According to a court document, police interviewed Michael Rone and he said the two argued and he strangled Stacy.
Rone is being held in St. Charles County jail. Bail was set at $1 million, cash only.
