O'Fallon Police Investigating Dead Body Found in Residence
Police said a 55-year-old woman was found dead suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The O'Fallon Police Department is conducting an investigation after discovering dead body inside a home on Tuesday.
According to a release from O'Fallon police, officers responded to a call on Downing Street at 5:17 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 5. Officers were called to the scene for a well-being check and discovered a 55-year-old female was dead inside the residence.
Police said the woman appeared to have suffered a gunshot wound.

O'Fallon police said the investigation is currently ongoing with numerous leads and, at the point, it does not appear to be a random act.
