An O’Fallon man is accused of choking and assaulting his girlfriend Saturday.
Gyasi Yohance Coles, 19, of the 400 block of Prince David Drive in O’Fallon, was charged Tuesday with second-degree domestic assault.
O’Fallon Police said Coles was arguing with his girlfriend on Saturday and began choking her. When the woman tried to call police, he assaulted her again, according to a court document.
Police said Coles left before officers arrived, but was arrested later.
Coles was being held in St. Charles County jail. Bail was set at $15,000, cash only.
