O'Fallon Man Accused of Harassing Ex-Girlfriend, Stealing Their Child's Car Seat

O'Fallon Police said Nathaniel Taylor Wasson called his ex-girlfriend 35 times in three hours, texted her multiple times and entered her car to get the safety seat.

An O’Fallon man has been charged with harassing his ex-girlfriend, calling her dozens of times in a few hours and stealing their child’s car seat, police said.

Nathaniel Taylor Wasson, 24, of the first block of Homefield Court in O’Fallon, was charged June 11 with harassment, first-degree trespassing, second-degree tampering with property, and theft.

O’Fallon Police said Wasson called his ex-girlfriend 35 times in three hours and texted her multiple times on June 11. Police said he remained on property near her apartment, tried to get into her apartment, entered her car and took a child safety seat.

O’Fallon Police said he told her he would give the seat back if she allowed him to see his son. Police said the car seat was a gift to Wasson and his ex-girlfriend when they were together.

Bail has been set at a $15,000 for Wasson, and he is not allowed any contact with his ex-girlfriend.
