O'Fallon Man Charged With Cooking Meth, Home Condemned, Police Say
O'Fallon Police said an officer found several ingredients used to make meth during a traffic stop Wednesday.
An O’Fallon man is charged with making methamphetamine after officers found several meth ingredients during a traffic stop Wednesday.
Marshall Lee Jones, 30, of the 1900 block of Glengate Estates Drive in O’Fallon, was charged Thursday with making a controlled substance.
O’Fallon Police said an officer contacted the St. Charles County Drug Task Force after he found several meth ingredients in Jones’ car Wednesday during a traffic stop. The officer said he found camp fuel, lithium batteries, salt and a receipt for pseudoephedrine purchased that day.

Jones, a passenger in the car, said the items were his. The driver told police he bought the pseudoephedrine
Detectives searching Jones’ home smelled a strong odor of meth cooking and found numerous ingredients and two boxes of pseudoephedrine, according to a court document. Police said the residence was condemned.

Police said Jones admitted to cooking meth for his personal use.
Jones is being held in St. Charles County jail. Bail was set at $25,000.
