O'Fallon Officer to Receive Medal of Valor Award Tuesday

Award ceremony is sponsored by the Crusade Against Crime of America.

Twenty-five local law enforcement officers are scheduled to receive the prestigious Medal of Valor Award at a noon luncheon Tuesday at the Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark.

The keynote speaker at the 43rd annual Medal of Valor awards luncheon will be Duane Benton, U.S. Circuit Judge, 8th District Court of Appeals. The master of ceremonies for the event is Sandy Miller, Fox2 News. The ceremony is sponsored by the Crusade Against Crime of America

Among the honorees are Officer Rajah Johnson, Sgt. Michael Stoehner, Sgt. Tyler Edgecombe, Officer David Porter, Officer Michael Moore and Officer Michael Cavanaugh, of the from the St. Louis County Police Department, Officer Michael Vernon, of the the Florissant Police Department, Detective Sergeant Robert Siscel, of the the Sunset Hills Police Department, Officer Barb Spradling and Officer Eddie Boyd, III, of the Ferguson Police Department, Officer Thomas Kenyon from, of the O’Fallon, MO Police Department, Officer Jonathan Ambrose, Officer Franklin Derby, Officer Mathew Wieczorek, Officer Hammad Ahmad, Officer Andrew Wilson, Officer Torey Phelps, Officer Brandon Moore, Officer Jason Chambers, Officer Rachel Capps, Officer Brandon Johnson, Officer Mark Wasem and Officer Steve Appelbaum, of the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, and Officer Michael Hitchcock and Officer Nathan Jaeger, of the Ballwin Police Department.

Robert G. Lowery, Sr., president of the Crusade Against Crime of America and all the members that serve on the Crusade Against Crime of America Board of Directors, are asking for the community's support to show  appreciation to the brave men and women who risk their lives so that we are all protected and can live in a safe community.
