O'Fallon Woman Charged with Stealing Grandmother's Rings

Woman told police she sold the jewelry so she could buy heroin.

An O’Fallon woman faces that she stole four rings with a total value of $32,000 from her grandmother, a St. Charles resident.

Alicia Davis, 21, of the 1100 block of Ashford Place in O’Fallon, was charged Wednesday in with stealing property valued at more than $25,000, a class B felony.

Davis told she took the rings from her grandmother’s jewelry box on April 28 while she was staying with her grandparent. Davis said she sold the rings to a Lake Saint Louis jewelry store so she could buy heroin.

She also faces a possession of illegal drugs charge after being arrested by Wentzville Police in March 2011 and a forgery charge in O’Fallon in April 2011.
