O'Fallon Woman Indicted on Charge of Embezzling $100,000 From Bank

Investigators said Janelle Earley stole about $100,000 while working at St. Johns Bank in St. Peters.

An O’Fallon woman was indicted by a federal grand jury on a charge of misapplication of funds by a bank employee.

Janelle Earley, 33, of O’Fallon, embezzled more than $100,000 from the St. Johns Bank between 2011 and 2013 while working at the bank in St. Peters, according to the indictment.

If convicted of the charge, Earley faces up to 30 years in prison and fines up to $1 million or both.
