Prosecuting Attorney to Seek Death Penalty for Terry Culberson

Culberson was charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of Dorothy Hall.

The St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney's office issued a press release last week stating that Prosecuting Attorney Tim Lohmar will seek the death penalty in the murder charges against Terry Genno Culberson.

Culberson was charged with first degree murder for his alleged role in the shooting death of Dorothy Hall on February 5, 2013. Detectives from the O’Fallon Police Department discovered the body of the victim in Culberson’s residence with multiple gunshot wounds to the head.

“Our investigation has uncovered evidence of certain aggravating circumstances that authorize us to seek the death penalty. We believe that a St. Charles County jury should, after hearing the evidence, decide whether the death penalty is warranted,” Prosecuting Attorney Tim Lohmar said.

Culberson remains in custody on a $500,000 cash only bond. A trial date has not yet be set.
