Teen Leads Police On High-Speed Chase Until Tire Falls Off on Highway K

A 17-year-old Troy man is charged with three felonies and three misdemenors after leading police on a high-speed chase down Highway 79 near O'Fallon on Monday, according to STLtoday.com.
The article states that police saw Arthur A. Sauer III, 17, Troy, driving 103 miles per-hour on southbound Highway 79 and when they attempted to pull him over he sped up to 112.
STLtoday reports Sauer attempted to turn onto T.R. Hughes Boulevard in O'Fallon, but missed the turn, ran over road signs and hit a median, yet still continued driving until eventually one of his rear tires fell off on Highway K.
