Trial Set for O'Fallon Man Charged With Attempting to Molest 13-Year-Old Girl

Pedro Chavez, 24, will stand trial April 22 for first-degree burglary and two counts of attempted child molestation.

A trial was set for an O’Fallon man accused of attempting to molest a child in O’Fallon July 7.

A jury trial was set for 8:30 a.m. April 22 at the St. Charles County Courthouse for Pedro Chavez, charged with two counts of attempted child molestation and one count of first-degree burglary.

O'Fallon Police said Pedro Chavez, 24, O'Fallon, attempted to molest a 13-year-old victim at her home, before leaving. Police say he later re-entered the home and approached the victim again after the child’s mother left for work.

Chavez is being held in St. Charles County jail in lieu of a $100,000 cash bond.
