Tweet Threatening to ‘Kill Someone’ Lands Student From O’Fallon in Jail
A St. Charles Community College employee who monitors tweets alerted campus police to the messages sent Tuesday.
A St. Charles Community College student who threatened to “kill someone” in a series of tweets was charged Wednesday with making a terrorist threat.
Emily Caitlin Cole, 20, of the 100 block of Savannah Circle in O’Fallon, was charged Wednesday with making a terrorist threat and peace disturbance.

“SCC is about to see the ugliest side of me, if you see me on the news, don’t be surprised. (Expletive) is about to get real. You’ll see it on the news probably bc I’m gonna kill someone, these (expletive) idiots. I swear I’m gonna throw a chair across the (expletive) office, about to drop out of school bc SCC is the biggest (expletive) hole I’ve ever had to deal with. This dude is gay, I got him, fat mother(expletive).
An employee who monitors tweets alerted the St. Charles County Community College Public Safety Department to the messages.

KSDK reported that campus police arrested Cole as she was enrolling for classes Wednesday. Cole became upset with a counselor and sent the tweets Tuesday.
Cole posted a $10,000 and was released from St. Charles County jail Wednesday.
