Update: Police Searching for O’Fallon Murder Defendant

Prosecutors have charged the man with first-degree murder. O'Fallon Police said Terry Culberson threatened the woman and her family the day before the shooting.

Police still are searching for a man charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action in Tuesday’s shooting death of Dorothy Hall, 55.

Terry Culberson, 63, of the first block of Downing Street in O’Fallon, was charged by St. Charles County Prosecutor’s Office with the crimes Wednesday.

O’Fallon Police detectives discovered Hall’s body in Culberson’s home, and police said Culberson was the only person inside the home before her death. She had been shot several times A witness also reported seeing Culberson leave the house in his vehicle.

O’Fallon Police reported in a court that Culberson made threats the previous day to harm Hall and her family.

Bail has been set at $500,000 for Culberson.
