Warrants Issued for O’Fallon Shooter

An O'Fallon man has been charged with unlawful use of a loaded firearm by an intoxicated subject after allegedly firing shots in an apartment complex Friday night.

Warrants were issued on Monday for an O’Fallon man who allegedly fired shots in an apartment complex, before becoming involved in a standoff with police on Friday night.

The St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued warrants charging 50-year-old Keith Neumann, with unlawful use of a loaded firearm by an intoxicated subject and unlawful use of a weapon.  

According to , officers responded to reports of multiple shots being fired at the 900 block of Prynnwood Lane around 11 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 21.

Police said upon their arrival, Neumann, who was there with his wife, refused to exit an apartment. Surrounding residences were evacuated for safety. No one was injured. 

St. Charles County Regional SWAT responded, and the subject was taken into custody without further incident around 4:39 a.m. on Saturday.

Neumann is being held in police custody on a $20,000 bond.
