Bulky Trash Drop-Off Date is Aug. 17

The City of O'Fallon has a list of acceptable and unacceptable items on its website.

Got something too big to fit in your trash container, like a rusty old grill or a coffee table with three broken legs?

Residents who are enrolled in the O'Fallon's trash and recycling service are reminded that the next drop-off date for bulky trash is Aug. 17. 

Items can be brought to O’Fallon’s waste transfer station, 1572 Progress West Lane, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A few rules apply: 

  • O’Fallon residents must have a current photo ID with their O’Fallon address.
  • Only one load per household will be accepted per day, and only cars, pickup trucks, and small trailers no more than 10 feet long will be allowed.
  • Residents also must unload their own items.

Drop-off dates for the rest of 2013 are October 19 and December 21, both Saturdays.

Residents can find a complete list of non-acceptable and acceptable bulk waste items on the city's website. For instance, furniture, carpets, computer monitors and push mowers are acceptable, but riding mowers, appliances and paint are not.

Items that are not acceptable in O'Fallon may be disposed of at St. Charles County Recycle Works

Curbside collection for many large items for a $20 per truck hopper fee. Contact the city's Environmental Services at 636-272-0477 for more information or scheduling.
