Other facts

Eva Guest has lived in Lake St. Louis for the past 13 years, and in O‚Fallon before that. She sometimes jokes that she's been active in politics since she was two weeks old, when her parents took her to a Summer of Mercy rally. She has been actively involved in politics since middle school, walking parades and doing poll work for such causes as Amendment 2 (Missouri Marriage Amendment) in August 2004, Prop C (The Healthcare Freedom Act) in August 2010, and fighting the anti-agriculture Prop B in November 2010, as well as phone banking, poll work, and literature drops for many Republican candidates. As a homeschool graduate, Eva has made several trips to Jefferson City, lobbying and attending rallies for school freedom and gun rights preservation. Eva and her family have attended nearly all GOP Committee meetings since October 2011, missing only the December Christmas party and the January meeting. She is a faithful attender of the St. Charles MO Patriot Action Forum, and is a member of the Lewis & Clark Pachyderms Club. In November 2011, several friends suggested she ""run for something"", and after some research and a lot of prayer, decided on GOP Committeewoman. The Central Committee has two primary purposes: support and energize the party on a grassroots level, and assist the State party in filling vacancies as needed. Because many candidates end up running unopposed, the Township Committee positions often never appear on the ballots. Even when they do, they only appear in Primary elections because they are partisan bodies. This means many voters don't even know they exist, even though meetings are open to all Republicans. One of Eva's primary goals if elected is helping Republican voters in the county feel a sense of ownership and involvement in their party. Kurt & Jennifer Bahr, whose names will also appear on the ballot, have endorsed Eva Guest and her father Dave Guest. The Guests met with the Bahrs after the ballots were set and decided based on the similar values the four candidates share that the endorsement was in the best interest of all concerned. Jennifer posted on Eva's Facebook page ""We will be moving out of the township before the term expires.... Kurt and I met with the Guests and fully support them. Unfortunately, it is too late to remove our names from the ballot."" ""As the incumbent committeewoman, I believe that Eva Guest will do a fantastic job for Township 5. She is conservative, principled, intelligent, and hard-working. She understands how to work together with others to get things done and would be a great asset to any team. I whole-heartedly endorse Eva for the St Charles GOP Central Committee."" - Jennifer Bahr
