Former O'Fallon City Administrator Riesberg Lands New Job for $25K More
The O'Fallon City Council terminated Riesberg on January 10. Reisberg held the office for three years.
O'Fallon's former city administrator has found a new position as city manager for Rio Rancho, New Mexico, a suburb of Albuquerque.
Riesberg was terminated from his position in O'Fallon on Jan. 10 by a vote of the O'Fallon City Council. He took over as O'Fallon city administrator in January 2010, having previously serviced as city manager for Sedalia, Missouri, since 2005.

The Albuquerque Journal reported that Riesberg was the top candidate of 30 who applied for the position. He received a unanimous vote of approval from the Rio Rancho city council.
Rio Rancho, with a population of 87,000 is comparable in size to O'Fallon, with a population of 80,000.

Rio Rancho's previous city administrator retired "involuntarily" this past July, the Journal reported.
Riesberg will see a $25,000 per year pay increase from his position in O'Fallon, a story in today's St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported. Riesberg's salary in New Mexico will be $150,000 per year.
