St. Charles County Council Mulls $1.2 Million for Election Equipment

Monday's County Council regular session meeting starts at 6:30 for a closed session, resumes public meeting at 7 p.m.

The St. Charles County Council will consider purchasing new electronic voting system equipment from Henry M. Adkins & Son Inc. for $1.2 million.

During the council’s last meeting, Director Rich Chrismer told council members that Henry M. Adkins & Son Inc. is one of two companies approved by state government to sell the equipment in Missouri.

Monday's agenda includes several bills have been tabled, but could be taken off the table during the meeting. The tabled bills include the following:

  • Adopt new regulations on telecommunications towers and antennas;
  • Place on the November 2012 ballot a measure that ;
  • Redistricting political townships;

The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m., but the council will go immediately into a closed executive session meeting. The open, regular session is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. The meeting is at the St. Charles County Executive Building, 100 North Third St. in St. Charles.
